How Much Money Do You Need For Cabo?

Here is exactly how much we spent on our 3 nights / 4 days trip to Cabo over 4th of July weekend in 2017. All costs are in US dollars and are per person. There were 6 of us who traveled together, and 2 of us in a room.

We found a package deal for an all-inclusive resort plus round trip flights out of Tijuana through the Mexican budget airline, Volaris. We live in San Diego so we took a Lyft down to the border and crossed directly into the Tijuana airport from the San Diego side through the Cross Border Express bridge.

We booked a shuttle through the hotel ahead of time to pick us up at the airport. For the most part, all the transportation we used charged $10 per person, except when we went to Acre as that was a much shorter distance.

The two times we ate away from the hotel our friend was gracious enough to pay for us. If you don’t plan on eating away from an all-inclusive, you don’t have to worry about those extra expenses.

We ran out of the sunscreen we brought with us on the last day, so we bought hotel sunscreen for $24. Way too much! Learn from our mistake, get travel size liquid tubes and bring more sunscreen than you think you’ll need.
