Acre – Los Cabos Hidden Gem

Acre Restaurant

In the often loud and lively city of Cabo, Acre was the oasis we didn’t know we were looking for. We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident on our way to Flora Farms. This accident ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.

After traversing some sketchy dirt roads up a hill and down into a canyon, we arrived at the front of the restaurant which looked like a tiny jungle in the middle of the desert.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by an incredibly friendly and courteous staff. Gina and I were taking pictures and the hostess immediately asked if she could take the picture for us.

Despite not having a reservation for 6 of us and coming to the restaurant with beers in hand from our hotel, the staff was extremely accommodating and promptly found us a table. They even asked if they could bring a bucket with ice to keep our beers cold. Now that is customer service!

The ambiance of Acre is spectacular. The trees, soft lighting, and low-key live music make it easy to relax. In addition to the great dining and bar area, the property has an amazing venue area with a modern pool and a large concrete area with trees and string lights perfect for any event or occasion.

On top of all that, the real reason Acre is so amazing is the food. The restaurant is sustainable with all food grown on the property or caught fresh from the ocean. The homegrown flavors are noticeable and cooked flawlessly.

Between the 6 of us, we had multiple appetizers and a variety of different entrees – all of which were incredible. Even something as simple as a chicken sandwich gets taken to new heights. In addition to the delicious food, the bar has a great array of unique cocktails that are sure to keep you refreshed.

Acre Restaurant Bacon Ranch Chicken Sandwich
For appetizers, we ordered the country toast which was delicious.

Gina ordered the bacon ranch chicken sandwich which she loved and highly recommends. I ordered the fresh catch tataki and the flavors were wonderful.

For sides, we recommend the tempura onion rings and the sweet potato fries. Everything we tried was superb, and I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong with anything you order.

Acre Restaurant Fresh Catch Tataki
The only negative about Acre was that we failed to put on any bug spray before coming. This is the only time on our trip any of us came away with any mosquito bites. Spray before you go!
