We created The Amazing Races to share our love of travel. We aren’t here to tell you how amazing we are. We think we’re pretty alright, definitely above average, but we’ll let you be the judge of what to call us. 

Since our last name is Race, and “The Amazing Race” is a pretty famous show about traveling the world, we thought The Amazing Races was a natural fit.

We were both born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Gina grew up in the East Bay while Jonathan (or JR as he’s more widely known) was raised in the North Bay. 

We met at work in San Diego in 2011 and tied the knot in 2018. While we share a lot in common like sports, food, and fitness, the one thing we both love the most is traveling. While San Diego continues to be our main hub, we are always planning our next trip.

Our travels have taken us to incredible places. Our adventures are made even more special since we get to experience them together. As we continue to embark on our expeditions around the world, we are excited to share our experiences and tips along the way.
